This 1910 Craftsman bungalow is perfect for entertaining, with flowing open spaces, two original oak fireplaces, 10' plus ceilings, original fireplace tiles, and a center hallway. Added to that, this house has a wonderful master suite with an Italian marble bathroom with double showerheads and walk-in closet. The kitchen is composed of custom built and designed Arts & Crafts cherry cabinets that run to the ceiling. Stainless appliances and deep green granite counters complete the look.

Decorator touches like art lighting, custom designed stained glass, refinished heart pine doors, original hardware, French doors, an energy efficient tankless Aquastar water heater, a refurbished garage, motion lights, slate utility room, and antique medicine cabinets make this house a one of a kind. In addition, there is both picture molding and crown molding throughout the house.

This renovation began with intensive structural work - rebuilding many floor joists and beams supporting the floors, re-supporting the roof, re-masoning the foundation, and creating a much tighter, stronger structure. We then added all new systems (including copper plumbing, electrical, and HVAC), insulated the entire exterior, and roofed the house with 30-year black, architectural shingles. Once the backbone of the house was in great shape, we turned our attention to the details and finish work, which you can see on the tour below.

A large rocking chair front porch with Craftsman columns and historic railing accent the front of home. You can imagine yourself sipping drinks and entertaining out here. The porch's piers are constructed of solid granite. A ceiling fan moves the air gently for those warm summer evenings.

The front yard has been landscaped with begonia plantings, shrubs, crepe myrtles, and a picket fence. A historic three-color paint job picks out the architectural accents of the house.

The custom designed ginkgo leaf stained glass in the front gable of the home was designed by Laughing Sun and created by a local craftsman. One of the many motifs of the Craftsman era was the philosophy of bringing the outdoors in and the ginkgo leaf was utilized to symbolize that. To enhance the house at night, the stained glass is backlit by a switch in the living room.

The French doors to the living rooms are original and have had their paint removed and have been shellacked. High ceilings, ribbon light windows, and a century old chandelier are some of the highlights of the room. In addition, art lighting has been installed.
