We were hired to add Zen flair, creative woodwork, and zesty color to this classic 1920’s brick bungalow located on the cusp of Midtown & Virginia Highlands. The bones of the house are classic; it has a charming old world brick side porch, and stout brick piers. We spiced up the house by adding a large screened-in porch with cedar shingles, sculpted brackets, and exposed rafter tails. A custom crafted backyard cottage serves as a pool house and whimsical summerhouse. In addition to these large improvements, we added cedar shingles to the original gables, decorative brackets, custom gingerbread handrails, and Laughing Sunshine-themed privacy gates to the backyard.
